HOW TO GROW FRESH AIR

HTGFA.gifl e s s (poor indoor air)

The EPA tells us that indoor air is often more polluted than the air outside (unless there are wildfires burning or if you live next to a highway, factory or the like).  Office buildings are especially notorious for "sick building syndrome" and stuffy, dry, unhealthy air.

The best solution (aside from getting outside enough and getting rid of toxic accoutrements)? PLANTS!

I was already on the indoor plant bandwagon, b...

Photo of the day

Google is now hosting millions of photographs from LIFE magazine, stretching from the 1750s to today. Warning: If you geek out on pictures like we do, then this should keep you busy. The majority were never published before and are seeing the light of day because of this joint venture between LIFE and Google. …And Since We’ve No Place To Go

Our ten day forecast is showing one day without wintery precipitation of some sort.  And it’s not just snow either.  If the forecast is correct, we’ll also get more than our fair share of sleet and freezing rain too.  Lovely.

It’s a little early in the season for cabin fever to set in so hard, but I’m determined to make the most of it.  I will, over the next few weeks, clean this house from top to bottom, repair things tha...
